Testimonials

Guardian Childcare & Education- Export Park

Why did your centre book KinderGym on the Move?

For many of our families, being able to access additional programs outside of childcare and home life can prove tricky. So being able to offer this to our Export Park community helped our little people have exposure to incredible physical development opportunities, a way to become confident and build their self-esteem and participate in fun, exciting activities as members of their groups and individuals, was all a win win for us.

What was your experience with KinderGym on the Move?

The program provided the setup and equipment, which was different every week, supported by Karina from Gymnastics SA, who delivered the session and watched our little people grow and get excited about making healthy fun choices for themselves! Will be re-engaging with KinderGym on the Move in the near future to continue with this brilliant program!

Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? We’re here to help! If you don’t see the answer to your question here, drop us a line on our contact page.

Our KinderGym Leader will introduce the session with a welcome, a warmup and the theme/skill focus of that week. A circuit of equipment and activities relevant to our skill development will allow the children to explore movement alongside the KinderGym Leader and educators. The cooldown fun includes the parachute, rhymes and breathing to finish the session on a good note.

Clothes that are best suited to movement include leggings, shorts or track pants. Skirts or dresses can inhibit movement and get tangled in the equipment. Bare feet are best at KinderGym. Sensory receptors in the feet send messages to the brain developing motor response.

It’s good for little feet! Barefoot play develops the muscles and ligaments of the foot and allows children to feel what they touch, which improves balance and coordination.

  • Fostering positive movement experiences that can influence children’s outlook on physical activity for life.
  • Providing an environment where the child can creatively explore and practice skills safely, increasing confidence and self-esteem.
  • Allowing children to develop the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional skills to create a foundation for an active life.
